Betty J Marine

Betty J Marine was ushered into Heaven Sunday, November 4, 2018.  Betty was born January 11, 1930 to Melvin and Lilly Sommers in Goshen, Indiana.  She married Ira Larue Marine on April 8, 1949.  Betty and her husband moved to Florida and settled in Lake Placid in 1960.  They owned and operated Marine Brothers Construction Company and later Marine Brothers Ready Mix Concrete Company with Larue’s brother Bud and his wife Shirley who was also Betty’s sister.  In the late 70’s they moved to Sebring.  Betty was a faithful long-time member of Southside Baptist Church in Sebring.  
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Ira Larue Marine, brothers Burnell Sommers, Max Sommers, Dale Sommers, sister Shirley Marine and beloved granddaughter Olivia Cresong.  She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Carole) Marine, Harrison, TN; Rodney (Sylvia) Marine, Sebring; Chris (Diane) Marine, Sebring; sister Kitty Whybrew of Indiana;  9 grandchildren,  26 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.  
A graveside service will be held December 1st, 2018 at 1 p.m. Pinecrest Cemetery in Sebring.  Condolences may be expressed at www.morrisfuneralchapel.com
