ROOT, DAVID H. 88 of Sebring, FL died, Thursday September 9, 2010, DAVID H. ROOT in Clewiston, FL. David was born in Cleveland, OH, son of the late, Huber H. and Mabel Kniseley Root. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in W.W. II, a graduate of Western Reserve University, Cleveland. David was a Tool & Dir Designer, retiring from B.F. Goodrich Tire Co., moving to Sebring in 1981 from Aurora, OH. He was active in collecting and restoring French Citroen's and was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and Highlands Lakes Region Antique Car Club. David is a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Josephine. He is survived by his wife, Zelda F. Root, Sebring; daughter, Linda Hoal, Palm Bay, FL; sons - Kenneth Root, Little Rock, AR, Timothy Root, San Diego, CA and Paul Root, Tracy, CA; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. David was buried at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
