Eugene (Gene) W. Trumble a longtime resident of Sebring, Florida passed away on March 28, 2024. Born on September 13, 1939 in Kankakee, Illinois, Gene moved to Sebring in 1972. He was 84 years old.
Gene's life showcased his diverse skills. He began as a school teacher, then transitioned to a successful general contractor and cabinet maker. Even in retirement, Gene continued his education. He earned a degree in Mortuary Science and became a Funeral Director.
Gene's commitment extended beyond his work. He volunteered as a firefighter for the most of his life and served as an EMT. He was a member of First Sebring Church
Gene enjoyed woodworking, creating beautiful pieces of furniture as well as toys for his grandchildren. He was also an avid model railroad enthusiast.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Phyllis Trumble. He is survived by his wife, Kay A. Trumble, daughters Cindy White (Richard) and Becky Crivello (Drew-deceased), granddaughters, Angela Stebbins (Dain), Laura Salas (Connor), Whitney McGee (Travis), and grandson Sam McGee, and great granddaughter Harper.
Gene's life was testament to his varied interests and enduring curiosity. He leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship in his woodworking. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
