Evan G. Gough

Evan G. Gough went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2018. He was born in Mt. Airy, NC, in 1934 and has been living in Maranatha Village, Sebring FL for the past 15 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda Eddy Gough; his brother Ezra Gough; his children Gaius, Louwan, Nathanael, Deborah, and Timothy; his grandchildren Emma, Camille, Tegan, Josh, Tamika, Sohm, Joseph, Andrew, Tiffany, Brittany, Aiden, Ella, and Zoe; and 6 great-grandchildren.
After serving in the US Navy from 1952 - 1955, Evan entered Piedmont Bible College to train for the ministry. He then worked with Baptist Mid-Missions for 38 years. His ministry included church planting, pastoring existing churches, and teaching in Bible colleges. He served two terms in the West Indies, and two terms in Australia before returning to the USA to work for eighteen years as the Field Administrator of Africa and Europe.
Memorial service will be Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at Maranatha Baptist Church with the family receiving friends 30 minutes before the service.
