Helen Elizabeth (Pharis) Harrington

HARRINGTON, HELEN ELIZABETH (PHARIS), 89, passed away on April 15, 2016 in Sebring, FL. Helen was born May 13, 1926 in Guyton, GA, daughter of George H. Pharis and Celia (Hodges) Pharis. Helen moved to Sebring in 1958 where she retired in 1991 as a school teacher. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Sebring and she enjoyed reading and gardening. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James Isaac Harrington. She is survived by her sons, James Isaac (Helen) Harrington, Jr., New Bern, NC, Henry Anthony (Joanna) Harrington, Cape Coral, FL; daughter, Victoria Jean (Harrington) Cribbs (Toby, Jr.) Sebring, FL. Proud grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 11.; brother, Howard Pharis, Rincon, Ga; sister-in-laws, Nell Pharis, Savannah, Ga, Wanda Bolin, Louisville, KY and Signa Harrington, Hardinsberg, KY; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, 5-7PM at Morris Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to service. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11AM at First Baptist Church, Sebring. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.
