Mairin Ogle

Aug 27, 1938 — Jun 30, 2026

Sebring

Mairin Teresa (Allen) Ogle entered into eternal rest on June 30, 2026, lifted in love and prayer by those whose lives she touched. Born on August 27, 1938, in Whitstable, Kent, England, to Patrick Allen and Florence Helen Allen, both of whom preceded her in death, Mairin was a woman who loved her family and was a true and loyal friend. She was Catholic in Faith.

Mairin immigrated with her family from England to Canada by ship, where she attended the historic Lisgar Collegiate Institute in Ottawa. She later pursued her calling in healthcare by attending Mothercraft Nursing School in Toronto and began her career in nursing at Ottawa Civic Hospital.

During a vacation to Fort Myers Beach, Florida, in the late 1960s, a simple hair appointment became the beginning of a beautiful love story. The salon owner who styled her hair, Richard William Ogle, soon became the love of her life. Their chance meeting blossomed into a lifelong romance, and they married, making their home first in Fort Myers Beach before settling in Sebring, Florida, in 1973. There, Mairin devoted herself to raising her family as a loving wife and stay-at-home mother. Richard, her beloved husband, preceded her in death.

Mairin was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Antony Michael Peck, and his wife, Hope Osberg-Peck; her stepfather, William "Charles" Peck; her brother, Patrick Allen, and his wife, Betty; her sister, Rosemary Juden; her niece, Lynda Juden Kitchikeesic; her brother in law, Brian Newman and her dear cousin, John Southgate.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory: her children, Tammy (Guy) Favorite, Marian (Dale) Shamblen, Richard (Danitza) Ogle, Tina (John) Haley, and bonus daughter, Red Barrons. She was a proud grandmother to Donnie, Richard, and Darryl Rickett; Matthew Ogle; Stephen Bailey III; and Nicholas, Cole, and Johna Haley.

Mairin is also survived by her sister, Helen Newman; her brother, Michael (Donna) Allen; and her brother-in-law, David Juden. She held a special place in her heart for her nieces Kathleen, Irene, Mary, Leslie, Sally, Keren, Leanne, and Mary Ellen, as well as her nephew, Maston, each of whom she loved dearly.

After raising her family, Mairin continued her commitment to caring for others by working as a medical assistant. In her forties, she returned to school at South Florida State College, earning certification as a medical records clerk—a testament to her determination and lifelong love of learning.

Mairin's life was defined by resilience, and unconditional love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, yet her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved. May she now rest peacefully in the eternal light and boundless love of Our Heavenly Father.
