Mary E. Curl

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Emmett Curl of Sebring, FL. announces her passing on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at the age of ninety years. Born Mary Alma Emmett on November 20, 1930, to Rose Blanche and Walker Weldon Emmett in Sebring, FL. She attended both grammar and high schools in Sebring, FL. Mary was a talented clarinetist and pianist. She retired from Barnett Bank after 25 years of service. She was an active member of First Sebring United Methodist Church in Sebring, FL where she was a member of the choir and skilled handbells ringer. An avid Florida Fan, she was happiest tailgating with The Sebring Gator Club. Her family takes great comfort in knowing that she is once again whole and rejoicing in the presence of her savior. Mary was preceded in death by her adoring spouse of 59 years, Lonnie Grahl Curl and her brother Weldon Walker Emmett. She is survived by her loving family, one sister Kathryn Wooten, her only son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Nancy Curl of Augusta, Ga. She is also survived by her grandsons Jon J. Curl, Kenneth P. Curl his spouse Jeffrey P. Coache of Augusta, Ga., and her granddaughter Kathryn C. Dunstan and her spouse J. Richard Dunstan Jr. of Martinez, Ga., and one great grandson, Thomas V. Blanton III of Appling, Ga. There will be a private family celebration of her life. She will be laid to rest in Sebring, FL beside her beloved.
