Myrtice "Ann" Wright

December 26, 1946 — March 9, 2024

Sebring

Myrtice ‘Ann’ Wright of Lawrenceville, GA and Sebring, FL passed away peacefully on the
evening of Saturday, March 9th 2024 at the age of 77.

Born in Atlanta Georgia in 1946, Ann was the 4th of five children and the only girl. She was

preceded in death by her parents Sadie (Humphries) and George Wright, her oldest brother
Harvey, niece Sherry, and great-nephew Cooper. She is survived by brothers David (Betsy) of
BlueRidge, GA, Perry (Mary) of Sugarhill, GA, and James (Sherry) of Sebring, FL. She was the
proud aunt of 13 nieces and nephews, 24 great nieces and nephews, and 8 great great nieces
and nephews with one on the way!

Ann graduated from Cross Keys High School in 1964. She attended Dekalb Junior College and

began a career in the insurance industry with Munich American and then American Express.
She was a dedicated member of Snellville Community Church for 40 years. She was active in
the handbell choir, Stephens Ministries, and her Agape Circle. Ann suffered a debilitating stroke
in December of 2018. The day before her stroke she was delivering eggs for the church to
people in need.

Ann was an accomplished seamstress, making many of her own clothes. She was a master at

needlepoint and could crochet an afghan in an afternoon. She loved to work in her garden,
always finding plants to attract butterflies. She also loved a good puzzle. Her home was
decorated with intricate framed puzzles that she had finished.

She lived most of her life at her home in Lawrenceville. After her stroke left her unable to use

her right side and speech was very difficult she moved to assisted living in Blue Ridge to be
near her brother David. In August of 2020 she relocated to Sebring, FL where her nieces could
be close to her. She continued to attend church services regularly at St. Camillus assisted
living. She was able to enjoy the theater and family gatherings in the Sunshine State. She
loved her family and made many sacrifices for them. She will be missed. We are thankful that
her body has been restored and she is rejoicing in heaven.

In place of flowers or gifts, contributions can be made to Snellville Community Church in Ann’s
memory.

A celebration of her life will be held at Snellville Community Church March 25th, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
