Nancy S Wood

Nancy S. Wood, 84 of Sebring passed away April 9, 2026. She was born in Washington, DC on December 24, 1941 to Robert and Frances Whittaker. 

She and her husband, Richard “Bird” Wood moved to Sebring in 1994 from Delray Beach, FL. Nancy was a secretary for an Anesthesiologist in Delray Beach for many years and she also worked for Dr, Lee in Sebring for a few years.  Nancy was a Life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Member of the Sebring VFW Auxillary Post 4300, Sebring Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion Auxillary Post 25 in Lake Placid.

She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Michelle and Jeanette. She is survived by her husband, Richard H. “Bird” Wood, III; daughter, Nanette; brother, Charles Whittaker and grandsons, Richard and Christopher. 

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
