EVELETH , Peter H. 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at The Palms of Sebring. Pete was born in Melrose, MA on October 14, 1931 to Howard Eveleth and Ruth Larter Eveleth. He attended the Manlius Military Academy as a member of the class of 1949 and graduated from Northeastern University in 1959. Pete served his country during the Korean War in the US Navy aboard the USS Missouri. Pete was an active member of Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 2259, VFW Post 4300, Sebring Elks and a recreational vehicle club, The Florida Hobos. Pete was preceded by his beloved wife Betty. They moved to Highlands County in 1971, where they established Pete Eveleth Well Drilling, Inc., which is still family owned and operated by his son Todd and his wife, JoAnn. Pete is survived by his sister Patricia Buchanan of Concord, MA, sons Todd Eveleth of Sebring and Clarke Eveleth of Mont Vernon, NH; daughter Patricia Eveleth of Hampton, NH; step-daughters Sheri Crenshaw and Darlene Young both of Sebring, eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren. At Pete's request, there will be no service. Those who desire can make a contribution in his memory to Sebring Angels Animal Rescue or Highlands County Humane Society.
