Roma Agee

AGEE, ROMA ELNORA, 92, born in Lima, Ohio and current resident of Sebring, FL passed away, Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in Weston, FL. She was very active in her communities. Roma was a Lindsey, Ohio Cub Scout Den mother, Girl Scout Leader, & "Sunbeams", 4-H Club Leader. Roma was a member of the Wauseon, Ohio Navy Mothers Club. President of the Toledo, Ohio Chapter Gold Star Mothers, United Methodist Women (Deborah Circle), St. John United Methodist Women of Sebring, 1918 Elite Club of Sebring and Peace of Highlands County. Roma was also a charter member of Highlands County Genealogical Society and initiated the New Kids on the Block Writing Group. She was a proud runner-up in the 1978 Florida Mother-of-the Year. A member of St. John United Methodist Church, Sebring. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles U. and Justena L. Thompson; husband, John J. Agee; son, John C. Agee of the U.S. Navy and a brother, Richard Thompson. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Gene Smith, Mary Ellen and John Shannon; sons and their wives, Dr. Robert and Ruth Agee, William and Brenda Agee; brother, Ray Thompson; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday, January 8, 2010 and 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Saturday,January 9, 2010 at Morris Funeral Chapel, The funeral service will be held 12:00 Noon. She will be laid to rest in Attica, Ohio at Omar Cemetery. She will be missed by all who knew and truly loved her.
