Virginia E. Sumpter

SUMPTER, VIRGINIA E., 78 of Sebring, FL, died April 21, 2011 at her residence. Virginia was born in Waterbury, CT where she was active in her community, she was a cosmetologist and hairdresser. She moved to Sebring in 1985 from New York State. She was a member of Independent Baptist Church in DeSoto City. Virginia loved her animals and enjoyed shopping, traveling and her friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Holly Weidner; husbands, Promer Sumpter and Winfred Wilburn. Virignia is survived by her grandchildren, Vera Weidner, Sebring and Clinton Weidner, Torrington, CT; brother, Bernard Crawley, Sebring; great granddaughter, Keilanni Justin, Sebring and niece, Trudy McNeil, Ellenburg Deport, NY. Viewing 9:30am-11:00 am, Wednesday at Independent Baptist Church. Funeral services, 11:00 am, following the visitation. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
